Rough running when cold

Help please.
My E320 cdi sport 06 runs bad when cold. It sounds like a misfire when under load/ pulling away.
As soon as it reaches temp it is as smooth as it should be.
There are no errors from the ecu at all.
My indie mechanic has tested each injector for electrical supply when cold and warm as well as the egr. But cant find a fault anywhere.
Can anyone shed a light please.

I assume you have no fault codes?

I would probably pull the injectors and get them tested and refurbished.
 
Injector electrical correction values read and ok? Injectors tank line leak measured (test permormed at cold, not in warm garage !)? Injectors coded to ecu properly (if they are not original)? Fuel Quantity Control valve tested?

May be boost pressure issue also, EGR working ok?
 
No fault codes at all. Sorry to be nieve but surely if an injector is faulty it would be, hot or cold?

Yep all tested when stone cold.
Egr tested as well all good.
Injectors are all original. Only 75k.
Dunno about the other tests you mention though.

Sounds like injector problem, Try listen by 'mechanics stethoscope' which injector is noisy, then swap it and see if problem follows... in case just change noisy injector?

Of course your mechanic could try read live data and check if rail pressure is not kept even at cold... would rule out boost problem. Is cylinder compression test done, even I don't think it is much use here...?

Recently our B Class was Misfiring and like a bag of nails but only when cold. When warm it ran well with no obvious issues. We had a very occasional misfire code about 2 over a 12 month period.

Eventually after wasting time on other things we pulled all the injectors and got them tested. Turned out number 4 was duff and it was replaced. Been fantastic ever since.

The car was Cdi on an 05 with 80k on the clock. We also had to replace an injector at 60k as well.

Not saying it's 100% your problem but If it was me I would be looking at the injectors.
