I usually drive our second car ( a practical classic!) and leave the most reliable vehicle for my good lady. I previously had an '89 Rover 214 SEI which I bought from an elderly neighbour with 28K miles on it. I ran it to 88K and had to sell it when i needed a wheelchair vehicle to transport dad around. When dad became to frail for the wheelchair, I decided to go back to a Rover and bought a 25. same as the 214 isn't it. No! it isn't. It's suffered cutback disease. No soundproofing, less trim, etc. etc. :fail
That's why I am here. Looking for something more "substantial" again. I want a proper car, not an accountant's design. I only do around 3K a year now so fuel economy and insurance costs (I am over 60) are not an issue.
