So for the last few weeks when driving and I let off the acc pedal and let the car roll I can feel surging like I’m towing a tanker trailer and I’ve noticed the Rev counter goes up and down ?? Is this the TC starting to fail ? Also slow to change up gears from time to time ?

Have a look

It sometimes can be a solenoid inside the valve body called TC PWM solenoid.

First and cheapest call , would be to change the transmission fluid as it has been noted that these transmissions misbehave if fluid is old or low.

Have the fault codes read too just in case.

Also worth a check on diagnostics for rear wheel ABS speed sensor data. I've seen strange surging on the overrun being caused by broken up reluctor rings on the rear driveshafts.

If anything it’s most likely the solenoid as they are a pre owned set so wo t be 100% and yes just for elination I will change the fluid again even tho it’s only been a few months, thanks

Low fluid can cause this issue too.

I checked it and after having to drop 1/4 litre out the sump it sits just over the bottom 80c line on the dipstick so that’s all good 👍
