Have got a massive buzz for a large petrol estate. And always fancied an rs4 but I'm am torn between that and the 5.2 s6. I know a bit about them but would love to hear a few horror stories from previous owners.

I also need some help with pricing help with my ML.

There (like with most cars) there is a HUGE fluctuation in price. The 2 closest ml280's with similar mileage are 14k and look like crap and don't have decent history.

Any help would be appreciated, here's some specs

82k edition s, recent service B, and transmission service, 57 plate, full black leather, long MOT, immaculate condition when I replace the door( had a scrape with a hospital car park pillar), upgraded interior lights, xenon headlights, side runners, 22" Decent AMG reps with new tyres. All consumables are good.

Any opinions would be great.

Thanks

You need a c63 estate, far superior to an RS6 and the S6.

Just get an S4 and tune it much better than a C63 more exclusive and drives and handles better c63 is inherently unbalanced which spoils the powerful estate experience.

Hi no idea what your ml is worth, purchase a c63 wagon and forget the horrid Audi marque.

A large petrol estate - why not consider an E Class :dk:.

Yep I agree that's a much better proposition than a c63 or Audi R car an E63 estate just oozes class and power

I've got a real soft spot for the E63 estate if only they did a few more mpg I'd consider one as my daily. But far too good to tuck away as a weekend motor

I have many friends who have had S4/RS4/etc. ALL have had failures of fairly major components (engines, boxes, etc, etc). For that reason, I'd stay away from them. Not saying they are unreliable, but problems seem to be common.
Don't get me wrong, when they are working they are great cars.
Not trying to put you off but make sure you get a good one.
(Also, RS4s tend to have their seats stolen fairly regularly as they apparently command a good price on the used market so could be a consideration depending on where you live)

There's only 2 makes of cars is the mercedes and the rest of them!;)
Get a C63 wagon and forget the rest of them!

I have a friend who had an RS4 and it was faultless and a beautiful car. He upgraded to an RS6 estate and it has been superb and is modified too. Cannot comment further as I haven't owned one.

There could be an argument that C63's have potential cracking wheels etc etc but it would not stop people on here buying them.

Any vehicle can go wrong, you may get a good one, you may get a bad one. If someone doesn't like Audi's or BMW's that's fine, it doesn't mean they are a bad vehicle it's down to personal choice and requirements.

I'm sure on other marques' forums they slag off MB's, just as the others get bashed on here, it's all quite childish really, almost pathetic.

OP if you like the Audi, have some decent test drives vs the MB and see what suits you in terms of practicality, comfort etc and go for it. It's a car at the end of the day, you can always sell it :)

Merc's are proper cars innit!;)
Audis are good when comes to reselling the scrapman account for the ally !:D

The fastest (real-life) car I ever drove was and RS6 in the wet.
Much better than the R8 driven the same day.

I would still say a C63 wagon would sound awesome and can be fun/smooth/quick/noisy/prestige all in one... but not necessarily at the same time.

Cheers guys, I was thinking s6 as they are around 15k for a goodie. I would LOVE the c63 but well outa the price range, my pals about to buy one and had the same predicament.

Also the rs4/c63 don't really have the boot space, I have 2 pretty large dogue de bordeauxs to fit in.

The 55k is a massive contender but after having a blast in a friends e350 amg (which was brand spankers), it felt like sooooooooooo heavy.

I'm still stuck, I just like the idea of a 5.2 V10 in the s6 to be honest.

The rs4's are mental money for a pretty old car.

Again I have friends that have had rs4's and have had a few mortgage worthy repairs, but they never took my advise on the BASIC criteria when buying them.

Cheers guys

There's no such thing as E350 AMG.

That's odd? As he owns one, it's a 64 plate e350 cdi blue motion with amg wheels, and around 100 amg badges inside and out of the car?
