Good afternoon wonderful people of MBclub im hoping someone will be able to assist

Ive a W220 S55KL AMG, which is suffering from a mysterious rubbing sound (as though something is catching) on the rear wheels after some spirited driving and average braking (no emergency stops or anything, but just enough to stop the car at a good pace if that makes sense)

After a while of normal driving the rubbing/catching sound disappears. It may or may not be linked directly to this, however once my car is left stationary (be it at some lights or parked up somewhere) its makes a distinctive groan can be heard from the rear of the car in relation to the revolution of the wheel (it sounds like something rusty and metal if that makes sense, it doesn't sound like break squeal or anything high pitched)

I took it to my specialist but sods law, it only disappeared when I got to him! but then reappeared as soon as I was leaving my house for London!

Any ideas would be much appreciated

thanks guys

I'd hazard a guess the parking brake is dragging for some reason or you have a sticky caliper. Does one or both of the rear wheels feel excessively warm after a run?

Sticky caliper or pads, or maybe the backing plate is bent....
