Many people recommend coming off run flat? I have standard run flat continentals and they don’t seem to last very long. Wife’s car 10k a year mix of motorway, rural and town.

was thinking of Goodyear asymmetric 5 non run flat any good.

I the suspension set to soft to take up the run flat hardness. If I put non run flat is it the top soft combined and impacts insurance / safety.

Do I top up air when hot or cold. Did it cold and tyre worn in middle (over inflated). Pump matches car display. 2.5 bar. When warm rises to 2.8.

Any recommendations?

Always check and adjust tyre pressures when they are cold.
If you're finding they wear abnormally adjust up or down accordingly. The stated pressures are recommendations only. That said always keep any front to rear differential the same.
