On one of our cars we have run flat tyres
We have had a puncture in the centre of the tread and driven on it for a while before we stopped
Does anyone know if the tyre can be repaired safely

In my brief experience with runflats, many tyre places will not repair them.

Once they are used without the support of air, the rigid sidewalls are good for getting you to the nearest tyre shop to have the tyre replaced as the original stuctural integrity of the side walls has been compromised.

Or so I am told.

Thanks for the reply I thought that may be the case
