" I spent months searching for this car. Its the only one i could find with NO RUST whatsoever."

I like the sound of the above, but having read numerous threads on W210 rust issues, I guess its more a case of when not if. If the guy is close enough for a quick shufty at the weekend (or perhaps after work tonight) Im fancy taking a look at it. Typical that one should come up the when Im due to go on holiday and its one of the ids birthday weekends!.

No mention of service history, and if absent wont bother.

Looks alright. Don't like the big gaps around the arches, the suspension needs to be dropped to make it look right with those wheels

It does say at the end of the ad it has FSH.

Seems well specced and is the facelift model. Surprising that W210's have come so down in price. If you are interested and do look at it be sure to ask when/if the MAF and crankshaft sensor where replaced as these can give issues.

I would say thats a very nice looking car, but not cheap at 3k, feel inside all wings lips where the bumpers meet the bodywork and around the headlamps at the front.

Dont forget its 9 years old and over 100k which will seriously effect its salability so certainly worth a silly offer:D

Def hpi for finance.

Yep not sure its the bargain price the seller thinks it is, it appears that he only bought it last month and perhaps he overpaid for it. Have got home too late to view tonight, and got a packed weekend ahead, so will in all liklihood give it a miss until I come back from holiday - if its still available then worth a visit.

Id be able to find rust on it, I can find rust on any W210 :D

he he - look at the tags at the bottom of the page - says it all really

Free, Rust, w210

he bought it one month ago but now needs to sell at a big loss because he is going into a business venture....and he had no clue at all about it one month ago. Whilst it could be entirely 100% genuine I would have to be persuaded; sounds like BS to me.

Thats why i said hpi it, ie bought car on the knock, sell car, dissapear then new owner left with the hassle.
But i also thought the same thing about the new business!

Good advice on the HPI , having only bought from traders for my last 2 cars, its something i could easily have forgotten!.

I have been scanning Pistonheads, Autotrader and Ebay for a good few months now so that if a decent face-lift W210 came up id be ready to pounce. Ive not seen many with 70,000 miles or less and the engine / option combination I fancy offered at less than £3995 or so, even privately. I did miss out on one that I should have gone for, which sold very quickly indeed. Ive even been tempted by the odd E55, but really all I need is a nice smooth V6 with a Sunroof, Black leather and ideally a few other toys such as command, although command is not that common on these.

I can be patient (for once) as the longer I have the coupe the less i feel it owes me!.

Dont like the wheels plus its a CLASSIC
