rust slk 230

just found out my ten year old slk 230 has rust coming through the wheel arches .i am told it will be expensive and there is no guarantee it will last if i have them repaired ,it appears mud collects under the rims . cars in such great condition other than this i am gutted . i have heard you can get chrome replacements any suggestion ???​

A decent bodyshop will be able to stop it coming back. It depends on how much you want to spend.

Dont buy the chrome arches. Please don't

Avoid the chrome arches at any cost and go for a good repair. 10 Years old? You're doing well, my (ex) 170 SLK started rusting after 3 years!!

they seem a bit prone to it ,the main worry i had was the bodyshop i spoke to was less than confident that it would nt return .......
