I messaged another member on here who is an MOT tester and asked for his comments - below is his reply .
It was just a conversation between the two of us , so I won't name him .
"It needs significantly weakened within 12 inches (30cm) of certain safety related components, e.g. brakes, steering, suspension, seat belt mountings etc. If its just what shows in that pic that its an external non structural panel.....but if the rust goes around into the floor, sills and the gusseted areas it could be a fail."
