I have recently purchased a C 220 and I am delighted with it. The car is less than one year old. I have one concern that the brake callipers have 'rust' on the casing. I have two questions; is this OK in terms of safety ?(although not good for appearance!) and is this issue covered by the manufactures warranty if I wanted to change them?
Many thanks for any advise you can give me.

Nope!

Brake calipers are normally large castings of steel or aluminium alloy. Surface corrosion is normal, after all they are heated to high temperatures and dowsed in water, salt and brakedust all the time. The vital internal parts will be OK. Unless their function is effected MB will not replace them under warranty.
