Hi just a heads up incase other people weren't aware?:

My S/C belt had been replaced around a year ago but was showing some signs of fraying on the edge, but otherwise ok.
However, wish I had replaced it at the first sign of wear, cos it's just broke n made a right mess in my engine bay, such as ripping off the badge on the cover, scuffs, and bits of bonnet insulation eaten into. Gutted as had just finished getting the engine bay pretty much perfect.SC 1.jpg SC 2.jpg

How many miles have you done in a year? They should live far longer than that. Check all your pulleys run smooth and true without wobble. I notice you also have a BWK which are known to get mixed reviews, the bad reviews stating regular belt failures.....

Hi, it was replaced by the previous owner, probably done about 8k, but yeah I've heard they can cause the belts to break and the previous owner advised me to buy a spare belt as it had happened to him. I've replaced the belt now and all the pulleys seem fine so will just keep an eye on it....
