S Class Comand

I've recently bought a 2003 facelift S320cdi which has a widescreen comand unit fitted, don't know what model that's called, but having read lots of posts about STAR machines being able to enabale stuff thats previously disabled I have a few questions.

1) Can i enable it to play DVD's
2) Is there a way to recieve digital tv and whats involved
3) Can my suspension be lowered via STAR, I only want it dropped by about 8mm
4) Are there any options that can be enabled via STAR
5) When i start the car i can get the MPG/MPH displayed but as soon as i turn the ignition off it goes back to zero and starts again, can i keep that setting for an amount of time determined by me.

Thanks in advance and sorry about the amount of questions, but there seems to be so much to learn.

- I don't know about this model but you could read what http://www.mercupgrades.com/ says about it. Usually DVD video was disabled from US cars only.

2) Is there a way to recieve digital tv and whats involved
- if you don't have an analog TV tuner, you should get a digi tuner retrofitted. Antennas would be a bit of an issue usually (to be able to use the rear window antennas), an after market antenna would be simpler.

3) Can my suspension be lowered via STAR, I only want it dropped by about 8mm
- workshop Star should do this, exceeding the factory limits would need some tricks (based on forum comments).

4) Are there any options that can be enabled via STAR
- likely, I doubt anything significant.

- This sounds like some kind of a fault, unless your user manual tells the car should behave like this. At least my MY2000 E-class did not reset immediately. There should not be any "personal time setting" for this but instead it should automatically reset after being parked 4 to 5 hours.

I'm no expert on this, you need Alfie! But...

1. I beleive DVD plying is software upgrade.
2. You need to install a tuner to get TV
3. Yes the car can be lowered by Star within certain parameters.
4. Loads...depending on exact model
5. Not sure on specific model

Oh! and RSVR's are quicker than 916's....

Facelift 2003 is a CD drive. Does not play DVD or take DVD.

Digital TV is possible. needs a lot of sorting out.

Thanks Mactech, from reading Alfies site he doesnt entertain S Class comand which is a pita, I have got an analogue tv tuner already fitted but i've gotta say the picture is pretty poor, and the "after start" display really annoys me, I like the bit about RSVR's being quicker than 916's, I'm doing a track day soon and one of my mates rides a RSVR so we'll sort out that myth
