I've only just found out about the Valeo rad problem. I have a 54 plate S350 built Sept 03 according to the paperwork. I've had the car about a year and during that time have had a niggling vibration problem which despite lengthy investigation is so far incurable. This happens around the 75/80 mph mark, up to 70 it is smooth. I've had various tyre changes, had the balancing carried out on a force match balancer, checked the hubs, propshaft and centre bearing but everything appears to be as it should. The car has done 130,000 miles.
Does anyone have any ideas as to where I should start looking or does anyone know if the symptoms are similar to the Valeo problem.

Is that with an M272 engine ?

For that kind of mileage I would say the balancing shaft on the engine is gone. there is a 100% failure rate on the M272 balancing shaft.

In any event it really needs new bearings on the hubs and new rubbers on the thrust arms.
