It must be something though as it's the third time it's listed the starting bid was 4k and the last day the bid got cancelled

Agreed - contrary to my own beliefs as to what a good S124 is worth I guess it's most likely the price. Of course, it's typical for e-bay car selling that the car will appear a few times.
