Can't find the link, i see to remember they were not listed as a W124 item and i was going to bid on them but i found myself with no phone reception so missed out. Now i know what you're looking for i'll keep an eye out.

Right, just been shown how to search for finished items on eBay, so it looks like the bars i saw were the clamp and knurled nut version and not the rubber strap version.
