Hello I’ve been having limp mode problems with my 2007 S203 T model (estate). C220 cdi. 150ps, 110kw 148hp. A646 engine 5 speed auto.
After clearing abs problems requiring new front sensor cables and sensor rings, the car still suffered from:

Lack of power,
Very sluggish on hills
No revs above 3000 rpm.
Going up gears too quickly
Not dropping down the gears ie no power.

Constant orange engine management light on.
I used icarsoft mb1, it works much better once updated.
Code 2359-1 “check charge air system low boost pressure”.
I had sprayed cleaner into the egr valve and changed the air filter. Today I looked deeper at the air intake system and spotted the small pipe in the picture. It was on loose and had a tear in it. I cut off the torn end and refixed it. Took the car for a test drive.
NOW NO LACK POWER
Can someone please tell me what sensor this pipe is feeding in the middle picture and how I go about finding a replacement pipe. I am astounded how a small thing like this can affect the running of the machine.
I’d like to thank the hints about this pipe I found on other strings which made me actually go and have a look. Regards to you all.

Take the pipe off and pop along to your local car parts shop as most of them will keep a stock of vac pipe and just cut to length.
