Well, it was the metal that was broke that pushes the switch to electronically release the catch.
Couldn't weld it as it is that crappy white metal.
So made a plate up and drilled the two sections back together.
Pretty poor design using such weak metal, but I guess it is over 10 years old.
Might have been easier to make up a couple of contacts and solder the wires straight on, but wanted to keep the oem connectors there.
