I am trying to remove the silver trim that surrounds the tailgate latch to track down a water leak.
I have removed the four screws holding the chrome plate/plastic trim piece but when I go to pull it off it feels like something else is holding it on.
I do not want to damage anything so did not pull too hard.
If someone can assure me that it is only some clips holding it on then I will apply more pressure to remove it.
Thanks.

I did this last week, Its just strong poppers holding it on, give it a good tug or use something as a lever to get it off. just pops back on after.

Thanks for the info.
I was just being too careful before.
All done now.
I am hoping the water ingress was caused by the wicking action of the years of detritus built up on the lip at the bottom of the seal.
All cleared out, some non-setting sealant applied and just waiting for the next downpour to test it out.
