Does anyone know how to replace this?

It's the pressure sensor on the brake servo booster, I'm getting a code for it. I think it's the reason my stop start doesn't work.

Local mb dealer is having some difficulty getting the part... The mb system cancelled his order?!

A0075420318 is the part number

Ah, no, I think it's only for the stop start system, I.e. Cars without stop start don't have it.

I guess if vacuum drops then the engine is restarted.

Certainly didn't notice any adverse braking when mine went .

Theres no dire warnings on the dash, which I would expect if its safety related.

I only found the code scanning using an icarsoft, and it clicked about the start storp when I looked it up on the parts diagram - code b03 means start stop system.

How did you replace it then? Access is a little tight.

Code was

Was booked in with other warranty issues .

Didn't look like sensor was changed , but all sorted , and daft as a brush stop strain restored .

Just naturally assumed the SS stopped with lower October ambient and a not peak condition original battery .

I have the exact same code.

Sensor is £25 so I just ordered it. Have unplugged it and replugged it to no avail.

As I say a couple of days after ordering the parts guy rang me and said mb cancelled the order for no reason, but he would look into it.

Lol

If it is not affecting your braking but is disabling stop/start surely that is a win win situation , no ? :dk:

My ocd won't allow anything but full operation.

It could be unplugged in future....

Yes it's a common fault. Had mine done at a garage.... £40 fitted.

It affects the Stop/Start function. Like yourself, I don't like to have bits that aren't working, even if I don't actually use them.

Thanks, I will have a go, didn't want to do any damage just yanking in it.
ITS PROBABLY LIKE THIS-IF SO A THIN NOSE PLIERS CAREFULLY LEVERED BETWEEN THE VACUUM UNIT AND SENSOR SHOULD DO THE TRICK?
