Hi,

My rear wiper has never worked since purchasing the car in May. Washer works fine but though the dashboard switch light is illuminated I can hear nothing from the back of the car.

Using a tester I get an indication of power to and from the three front fuses 12, 41 and 44 but there does not seem to be an power getting to the rear fuse under the seat #19.

I have changed the fuses at each point just in case but 19 seems to be as dead as a dodo.

So a few stupid questions if I may ...

1. Does the rear wipe work independently of the front wiper ? ie Do I need to have the front wiper going to have the rear working.
2. Is there any relay or connector between the front and back fuse boxes that I could check.
3. Am I right in thinking that fuse 19 should be showing power ?
4. Anybody know why it needs 4 fuses ? My previous Fiat only had one and that covered the reversing lights as well.
5. Is there a wiring diagram ? I have a well thumbed handbook that is missing the occasional page. I can't see any reference to wiring.

I have read the previous Rear Wiper issues but before I start taking things apart I'd like to know that there is a mechanical rather than electrical issue.

Many thanks in advance

Rear wiper works independently of the front. I have had mine stick in the past, I 'helped it' along and it was fine after that. Has happened twice
