S210 how to check self levelling suspension

I've been wondering about how to check the operation of the self levelling suspension on my s210. I definitely remember seeing the back end rise up in the past, just after starting the engine, but I haven't noticed this for ages.

Where and how do I check the fluid level?

Can anybody advise, please?

The fluid is in the bottle besides the windscreen wash reservoir. There is a dip stick in it.

Thanks. Fluid is ok. What next? Other than filling the car with people and luggage and checking the ride height, is there another way to test it?
