Hi,
I have a E320 cdi estate W210 (s210)
I am loving the car and can even cope with going into ocd mode with the cleaning every day, even if its just to dry her off before putting her to bed in a nice warm garage :bannana:
Unfortunately the ocd doesn't stop with the cleaning and despite trying a few things to fix her she still sits @ 10mm low on the driver side rear.
I have changed the rear springs from side to side with no difference.
I then put a 4dot (@ 17mm from memory) spring shim pad to replace the 1dot just on that side, whilst initially I did think it helped but not completely fixed, it now seems to have sunk again to about 10mm low.
I have replaced the fluid and filter for the suspension, 2 ltrs from MB.
If I load the car the sls works.
My question (finally)do the hydraulic rams go weak?
How would I check if that was the case?
I was thinking of changing the rams from side to side but considering having to remove the arch trim covers/panels and not knowing if they are handed I thought I would ask.
Thanking you in anticipation
Mark

Thankyou for your speedy reply, the fronts are nsf 341mm and osf 345mm, from centre of wheel badge to bottom of arch, so no the ns is slightly lower than the os.
She doesn't loose sls fluid in any quantity although there was a light mist on the osr ram.
The fluid level has only dropped slightly in 6 months (no leaks visible), as I had to buy some to top it up I thought I may aswell change the fluid/filter, maybe a waste of time/money but I guess it had been in there a long time.
cheers
Mark
