Please can a MB Star Benz guru talk me through the correct procedure for bleeding my car?

(Navigation of menus and actual procedure)

I will be taking all the safety precautions relating to the SBC unit.

I am hoping to borrow the MB Star system from a mechanic soon.

Thanks in advance

Mahussain

I have tried to bleed the brakes but mb star shows an error of voltage too low on the sbc unit.

Any suggestions?

There is a very specific routine for this.
Let me know your email address and I will send you the procedure.

Is your battery voltage ok? Star need high enough supply voltage to operate, SBC also draws some current during run and voltage of lowish or bad condition battery may drop too much.

Yes battery voltage is over 13v.

Doors closed, key out of the ignition and use a 2bar pressure bleeder to bleed the system the conventional way.

Failing to it with my star I will refer to conventional bleeding.

Thanks

Does doing it without STAR renew the brake fluids in the SBC unit/reservoir? I doubt it..

The reservoir gets sucked out first regardless.
When star isn't used I'm told that the accumulator is the only component that ends up with old fluid.

The Sbc systems are becoming old and tired now, so running the pump for long periods needlessly for a brake fluid change IMO is not necessary.
I've never known it to cause a problem

That's what I'd read and it was also said if you were really bothered just bleed them again after letting the old fluid mix with the new.

Thank you all for your valuable advice.

Due to MB Star having issues of voltage being too low on the SBC Unit , whilst showing 13+ volts allowing the program to communicate with car.

Therefore I have managed to disable sbc and manually do the brake bleed as per instruction from forum members. The car seems fine and have been driving for the last three days with no issues.

Thank you all

Do you fix that problem? Or are all SBC's low voltage errors gone? I have exactly same problem my W211 (year 2003).

As said above, ive done my SL using a pressure bleeder with no issues.

Sorry jacka

Due to not owning MB Star I didn't pursue it further and just bled the system using pressure bleeder.

If I owned the MB Star I would diagnose further until I got a resolve.
