Following on from my other thread,

What sort of issues do you get when a conductor plate is on the way out?

My car stutter's high rpm but only in Comfort mode? s211 e320 cdi (53):dk:

Definitely will throw codes up. It's normally the speed sensor on the plate that fails which causes it to stick it one gear. Sometimes you will get them back on a restart but not for long. ATF level been checked?

No but was only changed last year, conductor plate was said to be ok at the time.

Does a gearbox code flag up a engine management light?

Didn't on my W210 and don't think it does on the W211 either.

I believe STAR can reset the gearbox adaptations, if you were closer you would be welcome to use mine. There have also been threads on a way of doing it without (ign.2, press x, do y, etc etc) but not sure if this actually works or not. I'll see if I can find it, may have been on the other side or on the one across the pond.
