Hello. On the models with no fitted dipstick, for servicing purposes, as there is a tube for a dipstick on the engine, does anyone here use a dipstick to measure the oil level to be sure after an oil change?

There is a tube, under a red or black cap.
Workshop dipsticks are available on ebay with mm measurements. If you need to know what measurement it should be send me an email with the chassis number and I will look it up for you. The oil level sensor on the instrument cluster is pretty accurate as long as the car is completely flat and engine is HOT.
I wonder if the transmission dipstick would work also for the engine? If it fits, perhaps I could use it to take a reading to see how much is in there? I'd like to know a rough idea that I've put enough in to start and get the engine hot to be able to use the instrument level reading.
If my E270 says add 1 litre, should I just add 1 litre? I've added about 800mm and now it says the level is ok. The dipstick is measuring 132mm out of a 116mm min to 139 max.
I'm tempted to just leave it as it is for now. Does the cars level sensor only measure in course increments?
Put the key in ignition and turn key to position 1. Scroll through the steering menus until instrument cluster displays temperature in Deg C or Deg F.
Press reset button 3 times in short succession, the display should change. Press the up arrow key once (on steering controls) and put the key in position 2 (where you can see all the display lights in instrument cluster before you turn over the vehicle). The oil should be measured in litres in your instrument cluster. That's how I measure oil on my E270 cdi.
Hope this helps.
Our cars take 6.5 litres of engine oil. The oil level sensor is pretty accurate, I have checked it on my various oil change intervals e.g. To cailbrate the guage, I have measured the oil before draining the oil and after putting the new oil. It was pretty accurate. See screenshot of my instrument cluster as I slightly overfilled it since it consumes oil.
