I would do but as it's mostly used by the wife I have to give her a little say in matters and she doesn't like the size of the FFRR, too big she says...

Looking very nice. The splits in 19" look great on that colour as they are darker colour. Think the 19's suit the S211 / W211 so much better.

I would ask if this one is a keeper, but for you Lee thats a relative term.

If this isn't a keeper then I don't know what is; I'm finding that this estate gets the power down better than my old saloon. Throw in the two extra seats in the boot (which I've not been able to put away because the children love driving backwards) and it's really hard to think of a better car per £.

While its in getting the strut replaced, thought I'd do a couple of other little bits:

Auxiliary battery was original so it's time for a new one:

Coming along Lee, I picked up a new aux battery on Friday. Old one was holding a good charge but it was the original.

The pulley is that crank? Can't make out its size.

It is indeed, 180mm.

Delaying the crank pulley upgrade for a little while, going to concentrate on the exhaust note over the next day or two....

Even they are virtually new, I'm also ordering new pads all round tomorrow, these have a squeak and get dusty a bit quickly for my liking, so going to put on a less track-orientated set ie softer compound... £520 for the set... The joy of Brabus brakes...

Used it as an excuse to give the alloys three coats of wax...



Then the exhaust tips got a bit of love...


Not quite up to Jo's SLK55 though!
