Left work tonight to find a puddle under the drivers side wheel. On further inspection it turns out there is a sizeable leak just behind the headlight washer on that side and a slightly smaller one on the passenger side as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions as it looks like the only way to access them is removing the front bumper which adds up to expensive labour charges for what I bet is a couple of cheap replacement parts?

Can't comment on the E class but I had to remove the bumper on my R230 to change the washer however, I just fixed a leak on the W221 and all I had to remove was the wheel arch liner.... turns out it was a perished o-ring.

Cheers I'll look into that

Is the leak by the spray nozzles?

Bumper off job. Takes about 45 minutes depending how easy the side metal rails come off.

Arch liners do not need to be removed.

Alps has a great DIY thread.

To have a look and find where the leak is. Could be split pipe or hairline crack on the spray nozzle etc...

Also the spray nozzle is attached to the headlight, so it will be much easier to find a leak with the headlight removed.

Ah ok cool, I was thinking some models have the little flap where the nozzle pokes out from, may be able to see the nozzles through there?!

The W211 does have a flap on the bumper but you will see nothing much from there.

The leak could be anywhere.

But you still need to remove the bumper to fix the leak, unless you have tiny hands to fit in those gaps.
