Hi.

I know you can switch fuse 54 under the bonnet to make the front 12v socket permanantly live, but is there a way of making the boot socket permanantly live?

CHeers!

Tim.

Don't know if what you ask is possible or not but I had a Merc lecky wire a flylead with socket into the rear Sam and it tucked away behind the removable panel when not needed and pulled out when it was. It must be possible to wire the existing socket direct to the Sam if it isn't that way already. There are plenty spare 'ways' in there...you would just need a fuse.

I looked at that - couldn't work out how to connect to the SAM unit - I'm led to believe position 19 is permanantly live and would like to use that, but can't figure what's needed to connect to it - any clues?

I need to have another play with it I guess!!!

I've added a link to my above post that may help. One idea is to splice into the live feed for your bypass relay. Just add an in-line fuse between the splice and the socket. .
