Car
Alfa Romeo 159 ti (soon to be retired), shortly S212 E250 CDI Sport 125 Edition
Hi, first post on this forum having recently bought a 2012 E250 CDI Wagon to replace my Alfa 159 ti.

It is fitted with the Audio 50 / Nav 50 system not Comand and has the multi media interface in the centre arm rest.

I have been looking at various options for having DAB in my car most of them are quite expensive.

Whilst looking on another car forum I noticed a post about the Dension DAB+U which connects through USB.

DAB+U (through USB) | Dension

Before buying this, I wondered if anybody on here had any prior experience of it? Had a search but nothing was thrown up about it.

Look forward to reading your comments and helping others on this forum as I learn more about this car.

Cheers

Mark

The DAB-U will work with USB but you have media interface which gives you USB. I have been unable to get a DAB-U to work with media interface. Ive tried it a few times without luck.

The best implementation for you will be the in2digi product as it completely emulates factory DAB.

Thank you for stopping me from wasting my money.

I have a lot of reading up to do in this and other forums to find out about Comand fitment and DAB and decide if it is worthwhile or not.

Consider myself to be quite handy fitting car head units etc, but I have no desire to fill up these or other forums with pointless questions etc. That is what Google is for!

Thanks for your pointers though, much appreciated.
