S212 E500 Five Years In

May I be so bold to ask what it costs please?

Haven't got the final price but it'll be north of £400.

Removing both seats, prepping and spraying.

That price also includes removing the cover from the driver's seat and re-stitching it - which is why I went to see these guys in the first place.

Maybe £150 for the repair and £250 for spraying, but not blocking, those thousands of tiny little holes…

Money well spent IMHO

Yes, exactly, the paint/dye/whatever-it's-called needs to be very fine.

I picked it up at lunchtime - it looks great. Exactly how it was when I bought it.

They like their Mercs in there. One of the guys there has a 2006-ish CLS - the 219. He bought the newer one (218? How come the number went down?) but preferred the original one so sold the later one and kept the earlier one :)

It's interesting hearing the opinions of people who take cars apart for a living.
