£16k is plenty to buy e63 of that age.
It looks lovely and it only takes one buyer but it does seem a lot.
Very low miles so maybe someone would be prepared to pay it.

I like that colour a lot, and I don't see it as Brown, more like dark Maroon type or even ripen Cherry. According to the sale brochure from that era it should be 497 Cuprite Brown.

Probably a fair price considering wagons seem to fetch more to start with.

Looks mint, with the exception of the faded Designo interior wood trim on the dash / center console / front doors

Silly asking price, but it only takes one buyer who doesn't think that...

No distronic, probably no rear heated seats or reverse camera or rear dvds but the only thing I don’t like about it is the anaemic looking wood. I don’t think it has faded it’s just that particularly colour. £16k ... probably more like £14k max. (I’d probably ask £14k for mine if I was selling). But yes, super rare and half average mileage.

Hi Mike, the wood is definitely faded ( compare the front door wood trims against the rear doors) You are right, no rear heated seats ( but rear climate control) no distronic, could not see rear camera, no ortopedic or dynamic seats, no sunroof. I would say around £13K is more inline

Oh, come on, guys, I know I was complaining about you not selling your E500 Estates, but seriously? Any colour but brown (or is it dark claret?)

It doesn't seem an unreasonable price for a perfectly maintained, low mileage car.

(But then I've just bought a perfect, low mileage, one owner 5.5 litre W211 E500 for five figures, and this is a 5.5 litre S212)

Last year this same car was asking £18,500 though I always wondered how much it really went for. If the owner’s asking £16k for it now I’m wondering if they actually did pay close to last year’s asking price! Let’s see how long it sticks around on sale this time...

I’d potentially be interested in this car, when I’m ready to buy. Not at that price though, it’s to close to more exciting machinery.

The colour is a bit odd but I could live with it! De-crome it, put it on some nicer rims, would look pretty sweet.

I’m guessing it’s not a sporty drive in any sense of the word though? Want would be different between this and say an E220 CDI, beside the engine?

Do you think it has faded? Seems a bit odd!

Hi BUG4LIFE, definitely faded, 2010 Designo wood trim in lighter colours was notorious for fading under the sun due to bad lacquer ( trim supplier not MB fault) .I f you are interested in the car have a look at the edges of the trim and you will see a different colour. Also compare the wood panels between front and rear doors.

    Chalk and cheese.

I bought an E350 petrol estate as a compromise because I couldn't find an E500. Seemed a rational compromise. Within a month I knew it was a mistake, and it was gone within six months. As they say in the game of charades, it's the whole thing: the effortless 388bhp, the V8, the suspension, the extras, and the provenance.
