S212 Rear Lamp Cluster

We have just had one of the rear lamp clusters changed after a collision with a digger.

The indicator is showing a fault and after an initial momentary attempt to light does not. All over lamps operate as normal and the cluster is adjusting with the red lights flashing as it the fault. Do the clusters need coding to the car?

The answer was the wrong light had been supplied.
