S212 rear luggage cover issues

I have a strange problem, yesterday for no apparent reason the rear cover carried on operating once the hatch had shut and ended up half way to the "open" position so it obscured the rear window. Is there a way to reset it?

Would it not reset if opened and reclosed?

Or manually pulling it gently down once open.

Never heard of this before though.

Done all that, opened and shut the tailgate, folded the cover back, reset it in the guides but same thing, very strange

Mine has done this once before. But as Headhurts said, it fixed itself once I opened and closed it a few times. It should rectify itself. Let us know how you get on.
