S212 Sat nav update.....please help

Apologies in advance if this is dealt with already somewhere but I've been looking for a few days for how to update my satnav without any straightforward answer.
Car is 2011 E350CDIsport with comand (the one with a pcmcia card slot), nav system says its on v7 2012.
Any help gratefully received

Manufacturer's satnav map updates are indeed expensive. And yes the satnav on your phone is free.

And if you do decide to upgrade, and buy the maps update from www.comandonline.co.uk, then they will always ship to you the latest version.
