Well, that was an eventful day today...
... my 2013 S212 E220 started making a whining noise whilst accelerating through the gears after 30 odd miles of motorway driving. Called Mercedes roadside assistance once I got to work who sent someone out within the hour. We went for a drive and after checking that it wasn't happening whilst stationary or in neutral, the technician came to the conclusion it was something gearbox / transmission related.
Has anyone else had experience of anything similar before? No faults found on the Xentry quick test he did, and no fluid lost anywhere.
I must say, it was the best service I've received if ever I've had car trouble. The car was collected and taken to the dealership. I had a courtesy car delivered to my work by the end of the day for me to travel home in. Fingers crossed I'll hear from them soon once they've had the chance to look at it.
