Has anyone else found this issue - my car went into limp mode, merc said they thought it was so serious it would need a £2000 repair, got the BAS/ASR unit for £40 fitted and its fixed, but noticed the water has come in via the grills on the bonnets, I have no idea where is best place to get a new rubber seal as the one on the bonnet is done, can anyone help?

If you are getting water in from the bonnet grills, open the bonnet and remove the plastic vent duct just beneath the grill (covering part of the wiper mechanism) and exposing the air vent fan and filter. This large long plastic unit is held in place by 5 large phillips screws. One on the left by the brake fluid reservoir and the other on the right with the longest one on the top (to the right side). This plastic unit has two rain/water drain ducts which can become blocked by debris or blocked when not fitted properly during re-installation of the unit (if it has been previously removed). This MAY be the cause of your water leak due to excessive build-up.
