    Hi,
When I take the key out the ignition, after 5 sec, I hear 3 audible double bleeps. Is this normal?

When I unlock the car the instrument panel of the mileage display illuminates.
It also stays illuminated for about 30 seconds after I have locked the car, is this both normal?

The car has been serviced recently and the service ASSYT indicator has been reset.
However the above items occurred before and after the service.

Also lastly I believe there is a way to check the amount of miles left before the next service. How can you do this?

    Pls help

    Many thanks In advance

Yes, normal, don't get any beeps in my C-Class though.

To see remaining mileage to service, try presing the trip counter reset 0 button twice quickly, with the ignition on.

Do you have a Sony headunit? I used to have one and when it turns off it beeps 3 times to remind you to take the facia off.

Try taking the facia off before taking the key out to see if you still get the beeping, then you will know for definite.

    Shude, it still bleeps regardless.

Its a bit of "nagware" built into Sony head units to remind you to take the front off. Remove front, switch off - no bleeps.
