Hi all ,got a dilemma here and really hoping its not the gearbox side crank seal, so the s320 was laid up for 3 months due to being away with work ,(54k miles) .
When i went to start it noticed quite a severe oil leak from from the rubber grommet at bottom of transmission housing, figured maybe the oil cooler seals finally went so ordered them and a new cooler was some oil round it but nothing 100% compelling, changed it all and leak still there at same rate
, however when i rev it hard the leak stops, back to idle or low revs and starts dripping again around 2 drops ever second .
crankshaft seal or anything else i can look at before ripping gearbox out
