Nice looking S Class, but notice the centre console is a very different style to the normal S Class. I have to say I much prefer this to the standard which Im not very keen on.

Thats because that picture shown is from a W215 CL interior, match its interior with the other picture shown in the advert

Yep, i prefer the W220 console to the W215, seperate wood pieces instead of one piece for everything, which looks like MB were just cheap skating...

Both very nice cars though!!

As Gurpz said, the above is a CL (W215) interior, not an S (W220). I find that by itself rather strange for an advert by a specialised garage.

I do have to say I disagree on the preference. I prefer the S-class layout and in fact prefer this original design over the post-facelifted one.

This also is a bit strange, as the advert says it's an anthracite interior, which is black, yet the above picture shows an orion gray interior.

Furthermore, if you look at the button line up on the dash, the above shows only 6 buttons (2+warning triangle button+4), which means it's from a car without parktronic and without rear sunblind. I haven't got the S55 brochure, but it seems very strange that it would come without either one of those as standard. And the advert claims it has parktronic:

Front And Rear Park Assist
I can only guess that the pics in the advert are not from the advertised car...

For completeness, here is my interior, which has the anthracite leather (but my wood is the lighter chestnut instead of the walnut):

I think that is just down to lighting and that is an anthracite interior...

Nicely specced example you have there MBManInKen. A matching half wood wheel + gear knob would be the icing on the cake.

I considered that, but I have the anthracite in my car and it is really deep black. Not sure even strong lighting can make it look this light.

There is something not adding up with those interior pics. The use of a CL pic is strange and the other one does not conform to the car's spec. It has parktronic, so should have at least 3 buttons at the left side of the warning triangle, rather than the 2 shown...

I prefer the leather gear knob but the steering wheel is something I'd consider changing. :D About 800 quid I believe .

I had the wooden steering wheel on my W140 and that was nice.

I take it back, looks like it does have three buttons (and hence parktronic) after all and V12 seems to be right on the lighting issue too. The angle of the other picture made it look like there were only 2 buttons. Here is another shot from the same car but now from their own website:

Shows the black interior better and also the three button line up on the dash. The W215 pic must have been a mistake on their behalf.

Why the original owner skimped on the rear sun blind I will never understand... :D ;)

MBManInKen, have a look at the picture of your car...at your arm rest and passanger seat...you do have orion grey don't you ;)

Guido, I'm also a little disappointed your left-centre vent is pointing slightly towards the passenger seat, doesn't look very symmetrical, no good for the OCD you know

Aaaaaaaarghhhhh! What have you done! I won't be able to sleep now before I have rectified that! Where is my ruler??

£543.00 still crazy.

Nice colour, but vastly overpriced as it is non-kompressor version.

As far as I know, all S55 W220s are supercharged V8 5.4L cars.

Early W220 and W215 had a normally aspirated 5.4 V8. There was such thing as an early S63 and CL63 too.

Nope...all early models were Normally aspirated, kicking out roughly 360bhp, whereas the later supercharged models were close to 500bhp.

too slow...
