S55 parking break lever taking 4 or 5 times to release light on dash.

Just got it back from garage having second radiator fitted as first one was faulty, handbrake not releasing till I've pulled it a lot, first thing in morning worst, just took it out to put fuel in and when I came out shop and car was warmed up took two goes to make light on dash go out.

It probably needs adjusting and lubricating.

There is part of the release mechanism that can break.

I had this on my C320. From memory the part was circa £104 some years ago.

Hook the pedal up with your foot, have been this for years on my CLK. servicing does not seem to make much difference.

That's all I do when its cold, keep promising myself to have a look in the summer but it always works fine then and I forget about it.
