S55 with no comand - is that weird?

Is it odd for an S55 to have no comand? I thought this model would be fully kitted out?

Does seem a bit weird on a car costing so much. Same for the "quirky" designo S500 L posted earlier this week - no COMAND on that either.

What were the original owners thinking?! I suppose it is a potential theft risk if you need to park in any dubious areas.

I think the OP is largely correct though - generally the more expensive, larger engined models get loaded with more extras than the base models.

An S55 without COMAND has got to be fairly unusual IMHO, certainly more likely to have COMAND than your average S320 or whatever?

As said above if theyre optional you will get examples without. You get some luddite who doesnt care about resale they may see nav as a hinderance.

I believe it was available as an option if not then deffo under the Designo package as I have seen it on a W220 before.

COMMAND list as standard on S55 and optional on S500

I think the Comand came as standard after the Face lift which was Oct 2003.
