Very reluctant sale of treasured 190E.
Very sadly, a very good friend has suffered a debilitating stroke and is now not able to drive his pride and joy.
The car is a 1993 Mercedes 190E LE, one of the very last manufactured and in the best colour – metallic blue with contrasting light grey check cloth interior. Only 1000 LE models were produced, with a long list of factory extras as standard. It was purchased a year ago from Mark Taylor at MTSV, who is a Mercedes and classic car specialist in Keighley. Mark has an excellent reputation for sourcing and selling only the finest cars.

My friend is an ex-Mercedes main dealer mechanic who bought the car to keep for his retirement. He had spent long time looking for the right car and knew exactly what he wanted. He is absolutely heartbroken to have to sell it. In February 2015, the car was voted 190 of the month on the marque forum Mercedes-190.co.uk. I have seen the car in the flesh and it is in truly outstanding original condition. Having owned 190s myself for the last 10 years, I can say with hand on heart it is one of the very best in the country. If I was looking for a 190E to keep, it would be this one.
Some brief details:
2.0 auto. Being the LE model, factory options include 4 x electric windows, electric tilt/slide sunroof, front armrest, rear headrests, full walnut centre console, 8-hole alloy wheels, driver airbag. 110,000 miles, Full Service History (21 stamps in the service booklet, 19 from the supplying dealer), major service prior to purchase, and only 1,000 miles covered since. New front & rear brake discs & pads, new tyres all round, full MOT included with sale. All handbooks & toolkit present.
Price is £3,250 (much less than he paid for the car a year ago).
