SANTA POD 2nd October 2011 1/4 mile runs

I know which car it is, but the suspension looks to have reacted a lot, hence my thinking it's on air not steel.

I think there is some merit to being on gas as there is no natural resonance so less risk of wheel patter.
 
I see what you mean.

I have been told (I forget where/who/when) that there are no coil springs on the back of S211s. Certainly from looking underneath myself, there is only a huge lorry-like air spring on each side, and room for very little else. No coil-over shocks, etc...
