It was crazy by midday though and we spent over an hour waiting between runs, after my son saw some of the girls there he decided to stay over and managed to get one kind girl to put him up in her tent.

He probably lost more than the one hour overnight then...

You either stand around and get wet, get some food in the cafe or go home.

I can understand it would be pretty dangerous in the rain, the only run I did in my merc on Saturday was against an modified Escort RS Turbo and I dont think they moved for at least a second while they just spun there wheels. I only held the revs at 1400 with my left foot hard on the brake, when the lights went I lifted of the brake and gently applied throttle when I was moving and even then I still had some traction issues in dry conditions.
