Please note french police ARE removing sat navs if speed cams detection is not removed this is aimed at uk reg cars and on spot fine of 150euros so far 3 of my employees have been caught on n154 DREUX-CHARTRES so bewarned PS still looking for skilled works manager for issoire so I CAN RETIRE AGAIN Becareful on holiday routes this year keep speed cam unit out of windscreen line

Interesting. Just had a glance at TomTom advice, as I use an app on the Iphone.

There advice is to just switch camera warnings off. I wonder whether the gendarme really would go through a phone looking for the setting - but who knows!

We are working on a new service for France that warns you about danger zones instead of speed cameras.

Is the TomTom Speed Camera service legal?

Intersting stuff, I have read a lot about this over the last few months. It seems that the French motorway police are clamping down and trying to re-coup some money.

When I drove to Skiathos in Jan 2008, I didn't see a single police car in all the time I drove on French roads.
