Sat Nav on W220

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a S320 (1999) with Sat Nav (DVD Based). The disc included in the purchase is dated year 2000. I did not think the date it will make a great deal of difference but it is somthing that is nagging me.

New discs go for around £90.

Has anyone discarded / unwanted discs from 2001 /2002 to sell / give away (even better).

I didn't think the command units of that age are DVD based.

I may be mistaken on disc identification. It is CD-ROM based. Manfactured by TeleAtlas Navigation for Blauounkt. I have the old year 2000 disc if it is of use to anyone.

BTW, where is my post moved to?

Does the satnav take DX type Teleatlas discs? If so then you might be in luck!

Hi Shude, not sure about the type of Teleatlas disc. How do I check (BTW, what is a Dx type disc?)

When you fire the satnav up it might have a DX logo on the splash screen.
