Sat Nav Questions

Hi,

I have been using the COMAND system for the last few weeks and I have a few questions - any help would be much appreciated! I have a 2003 CLK so it is the CD based COMAND system.

1. How do you display the POI's on the map (even when you have not entered a destination)?
2. Can you mute the output other than holding mute button when the first instruction is heard?
3. Is there a way of repeating the last instruction?
4. When using TMC it changes the radio station to Classic FM. Is it possible to use TMC, but keep the current radio station on. Then if there are any traffic announcements the radio changes to Classic FM?

Hi,
to display POIs on the map, you must enter the MAP setting menu and turn on each POI you wat to be shown on the screen.
To mute the voice you only have to push the mute button or lower volume. If I have understood well wat you mean.
To repeat the last instruction you can push the volume rotary button. This will let the system repeat the last instruction.
If you want to use TMC there is no way to hear other radio stations unlike the one which is automatically tuned by the system. If you manually change it you will no longer receive traffic info.

2. when the nav voice is giving directions, press and hold the mute button until it beeps and you get a "voice output muted" notice.
3. to repeat the last instruction and also un-mute the nav voice just press the volume dial once.
4. TMC is only broadcast on Classic in the UK. If you want to listen to anything else then you must listen to another input, CD from the CD-changer, AUX or something through the TV-input.
