sat nav thefts

Just a word of warning,
the Police in Romford Essex and for quite a while now we have been recieving calls regarding the theft of Sat Nav from Motor vehicles. Even if the sat nav is not on show and only the holder is they are still breaking into the cars/vans to see if it is under the seat or in the glove box. I have even had calls where the sat nav and holder are not on show but the 'sucker' mark is still on the windscreen!

Just beware yths are going round on stolen mopeds stealing sat navs,they even leave the stereos now as they are to much hasle.
This is not confined to the borough of Havering this is country wide.

We have that problem in Blackpool too. Police are stopping you and advising you to take it out and take it with you. Good heads up Mark

I thought about this yonks ago about numberplates tied in with gps and speedcams... maybe i should persue this.

This looks like the same stuff the maybach uses on its sunroof

One of the Guys at work had his new Audi broken into for the TomTom the day before Yesterday. The unit was in the glovebox but the mount was stuck to the screen. Both gone and the door was damaged. Ooops.
