In line with an earlier post where I suggested that there may be a SatNav add-on for BMWs that planned a route which would remove the need to use indicators I thought it may be fun to ask for similar ideas from you erudite lot! Copy and add your own

A SatNav add-on that plans a route allowing......

MB drivers to look down on other vehicles
BMW drivers to avoid the need for indicators
The discovery of MB Parking spaces or Car Parks only

All in fun of course! :bannana:

Find MB Parking spaces or Car Parks only

Route around unpleasant areas such as BMW garages etc ;)

In the paper this morning it said that paedophiles are now using satnavs to store images and videos :(

Less obvious and likely to be found than if they're kept on a PC.

Cant do this on a Comand. So do we take it now that Tom Tom's are the paedophiles friend:eek:

To allow bus and taxi lanes to be used by Mercedes and Maybachs as well.
Also, all priority signs placed by road restrictions to give priority at all times to Mercedes cars.

Highlight other SatNav users on the map and their status (married, single, angry, calm etc.)

Alerts for satnavs fitted to all other vehicles reminding them at regular intervals "this road belongs to Mercedes-Benz drivers, they own it". ;)

If, as designated driver obviously (to avoid this thread being hi-jacked by a debate on the DD laws), you load a pub as a destination after, say, 8PM the sat nav should automatically suggest kebab shops, casinos and lap-dancing clubs in the local area to be reviewed on return to the car. Or, even better, text them to you when the bell goes for last orders.

Ah, Government better ban them then. Along with MP3 players, games consoles, USB hard drives, memory cards and every other form of portable digital storage medium. And whilst at it better chuck in all those evil CD/DVD rewriters. Yes, that will teach the evil doers! (Rant over.)

I would very much like it if an add on to avoid the more hump infested roads were produced. I already have certain roads on my "avoid" list and a national database would be great

I'd like an EMP type function to clear everything in front out of my way   and useful for car parking too  :D

Interestingly enough, with new ITS technology, navs should be able to guide you to car parks that have spaces. This technology (ITS) is taking off big time across the UK now - in its simplest form it uses journey time projects already (on motorways - next junction 10 miles/10 minutes etc) but the scope is there for a much more enhanced user interface. Many councils (Peterborough included) are looking at this technology quite in earnest.

Sorry for the slightly dull reply :(

But it was on-topic Robert - well done! :)

:D :D

But I like the idea of EMP because it's not about finding spaces, it's about making spaces

I could add something about it also removing our boys in black but I think I might get in bother for that one  :p :D

I think Pammy is onto something there :D.

As for parking, I don't want to be next to the oi polloi in their astras , denting my doors, so in addition to s-class lanes, we should have s-class parking facilities as well :D ;).

But you do already, certainly when I've been in London. The roads are marked with double yellow lines and if you really want people to stop and admire you, simply switch on those yellow lights that flash in unison at each corner
